Always.

1. Verse of the week in the Stahl house: Romans 12:1-2. If you don't have it memorized, we suggest looking it up and storing it in your heart. It's a great passage to live your life by. Always stay in the Word.

2. Always be creative. Dare to think different. This week, we fashioned a headboard for our guest room out of a white fence we found. Total Price: $24.32. We were proud, and the idea seemed silly at first! I'll post a picture once the room is complete.

3. Always Smile. Wake up in the morning with a positive outlook...no matter what. It's our job. How can people see Jesus if we let negativity creep in?

4. Always look out for the other person. In life, always be sensitive to the feelings of others. Include everybody. Grab a seat by a visitor at church. Praise your spiritual brothers and sisters. Look to get to know your friends on a deeper level. Care and Be there. Be willing to help. Always be on the look out for ways to bless somebody else.

5. Always. Always. Always. Try your best. At every endeavour. This may be our favorite "Always" in the list. This will be a post in itself soon.

6. Lastly, in the spirit of college basketball and bracketing, ALWAYS go with your gut. Enough Said! :)

Goodbye for now!!

Okay, I am going to turn this into a muli-tasking blog. :) I'm going to start posting memories, track our project progress, and who knows what else! So, here we go...Today's first topic--My Husband.

Today, we woke up to snow and ice! So, Tanner being the sweetie he is--Took it upon himself to wake up at 6:00 AM and get all of the ice and snow off my car. :) It was the most precious act of kindness. That's just Tanner though. :) I am blessed.

Next week, we are going to tackle some fun projects and events...

1. Turn our closet into an office/organized space.

2. Start a fitness/eating plan (I am training for the half marathon, and Tanner wants to get healthy.)

3. Take our tree down. EEK! This one should prob be #1 on the list...right?! We moved into our new home in December, so, we only know our living room with a big huge tree in it. :) If I can be honest, we're scared to take it down because we don't know what we'll replace the space with!! A small adventure......We are NOT decorators. If it was up to us, we'd have sports stuff everywhere. Actually, when we moved into our first home, I was convinced that we could make our guest room into a putting green/guest room. (I was going to buy the greens and roll them up when we had guests.) The greens were so cheap...I checked into it. :) I am a HUGE dreamer. Tanner likes it though, so, it's okay. :D

4. I am taking the GRE!

5. I will keep you posted. We never know what our weeks are going to be filled with...we stay busy though, so, I'm sure I'll find something to post about. :)

Newly Bloggers!

Hello All!

Tanner and Ashley here! We are new to blogging, but we are willing to give it a try. We will try just about ANYTHING once.
So, we have been thinking about traditions lately. We would love to start some traditions this first year together and continue them someday when we have a family. (SOMEDAY...meaning several years down the road) :) We both come from families that have fun traditions. For example, one of the Christmas traditions at Ashley's parents house is that there will always be an orange, apple, and fresh pecans in your stocking! We rarely eat them afterwards, but it's just a fun tradition that we laugh about every year!
What are some of your family traditions?
We'd love to hear from you all!
Love and Hogs,
Tanner and Ashley
